Character Interview
1. Tell us a little about yourself - your name, where you grew up?
1. Tell us a little about yourself - your name, where you grew up?
My name is Donovan Pruitt. Nietzsche described people like me as the ubernerd. I love science fiction, fantasy, video games, comic books, and other things that contradict the fact that I am supposedly an adult. I grew up in and went to school all over Florida. I have lived in multiple states on both coasts of the US before finally settling in Austin, Texas, which is so incredibly awesome. Also barbeque.
2. Who was your high school crush?
Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eliza Dushku, and pretty much every other woman Joss Whedon put on television.
3. What is the most romantic gesture you have ever done for someone?
There was this one time. It involved a diamond, but she wouldn’t want me spilling those details. It must have been pretty great, because we’re married, now.
4. What's your ideal Valentine's Day date and/or gift?
Sharing a drink together. Any drink, anywhere, as long as we’re together.
5. If you could have just one wish to change something about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I could remember things more easily. Like where I leave things. Every. Single. Time. How I manage to put entire books together is a complete mystery to me. I think my characters are stealing my memories.
6. What is the simple most important thing needed for a relationship to last?
Honesty.
7. What's the strangest thing that has ever happened to you?
Orlando Jones briefly followed me on Twitter. Now it’s just Taye Diggs, but I still love you, OJ. Make seven up yours.
8. Who should play you in a film?
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool playing me.
9. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
In order: a Transformer (the robot, obviously), a pilot, a writer, a government agent, something something video games, and a writer again.
10. Say the first thing that comes to mind when I say these five words, and be honest:
