Kevin Carter is an honest police officer whose daughter has a sensitive heart disease. If he doesn’t find the money to pay for her surgery in a private hospital then she won’t survive the two-year wait in the public hospital. Kevin’s partner, Wayne Wilkinson, informs him that he could make extra money by collecting bounties for his Uncle Ben, also known as, El Diablo.

Darrell Nkholoma Phiri was born on May 30th 1992 in Ashford, Middlesex, United Kingdom. Darrell’s parents are Zambian and he spent four years in Brisbane, Australia undertaking his tertiary studies. He began writing when he was 18 as his mother fell ill from breast cancer. Since then he has become passionate about reading and writing. He has self-published two novels based on Zambia prior to this.
His book “The Secret Society” was inspired by Nelson Mandela’s “Long Walk to Freedom”. He is interested in becoming a Zambian politician at a later stage in his life if the opportunity arises. Darrell is a BA(Hons) graduate.
