EXCERPT
1. She went to Raju’s room where he was sleeping peacefully with his mouth open. Misry made a pair of horns with her index fingers and jumped on the bed. Before Raju could realize what was going on she started punching the horns in his stomach saying, “Maah…Maah.”
2. “How many times will you check the locks? You have locked the gates yourself and mind it, it is Harrison lock! So don’t worry. Please board the taxi now,” Abhijit teased.
3. “It is my Dadu’s house, why would you go there?” Misry asked angrily.
“Duth Boka! It is my Dadu’s house too. You forget that we are cousins.” Raju explained.
“So Dadu will share all the goodies and his stories with you too?” Misry was bewildered.
4. “I have never eaten anything tastier, Dida. What is it?” Misry was still licking her fingers.
“It is morcya gur, a kind of jaggery from Bangladesh,” Dida said.
