Hi, I do peep at your club a lot. However, I have to tell you that the books listed in this choice lower the standard of your book club.nhe's hot n shut up n drive are really books with utterly poor writing, it makes me wonder why you promote such books. I stopped reading after four or five paras coz one of the books don't even use a comma. It's very obvious that the people are not writers at all just wannabes. What s the idea behind a book club? To promote books. What kind of books? With quality n appeal. You can't possibly be correcting everything that comes your way. I've read first kisses, I like the story but sometimes it moves at snail'pave I wonder if the writer ever thought about climatic feels at all. The other one crazy sexy cool is surprisingly quite a good story though it does contain flaws but the writer does have some skills. I'm too much of a lazy creature to become a member of that site. But now I'm starting to doubt the quality of things posted in here....I love the TOE books n I'm a fan. And some of the books u promote on the published lists are much better than the ones you promote here. I feel slightly embarrassed to comment this much because I like being just a silent follower. But I do want to highlight to you. A disappointed fan :((
I hear what you're saying, believe me. CBY Book Club doesn't promote books by published authors. The blog does that. The aim of the club is to highlight books with the potential to go far with the guidance of constructive criticism. I don't know if you've perused the books on Wattpad, but most of the stories are poorly written. I wasn't involved with Wattpad much when I started because I was discouraged by the quality, but then I came across a few stories that changed my mind about the site. There are good books on the site, but because they aren't popular books on the site, they go unnoticed. That's why I started CBY. The aim of the club is to find good books and promote them. First, the authors of those books have to find their way to the club. Fortunately, some have. As you've pointed out, some of these stories are good but need improvement. I have altered the selection process slightly to pick out the books with the finest quality of writing. These books are not without their errors, but neither are published books. Every writer has to start from somewhere.
This isn't your typical book club that promotes published books. This club focuses on unpublished works that have the potential to go far. Without Wattpad there would be no CBY so the book club is dedicated to Wattpad authors.
Alecia, my name is Priya and I'm from India. I've never dared to comment before because it seems rather intimidating. I've to agree with the first comment that a lot of books on Wattpad are poorly written n not to mention very cliche in style. I've secretly followed your club but I'm not the much to comment type yeah. So I kept quiet and read the books n most of the time I stopped reading halfway. But recently you include the mafia book, crazy sexy cool. N I read it. N got hooked on it. Ilove the characters. I do hope you will feature the book more.
Thanks for stopping by. Yeah, I was trying to explain to person who commented above that I can only work with what is presented to me. As much as I would like to, I can't feature books by authors who haven't joined the club as they haven't given me permission to do so. Some of the books in the club really do have potential so I'm hoping to shed some light on those works.
Thanks for commenting and for reading Crazy Sexy Cool :)
Hi, so who ís the winner for the BOTW 59 & 60.? There was a lot f hype going on and I don't see the updates on the Author Spotlight spots for a few weeks. What's going on?
The rules to BOTW were changed after week 59, so there was no Author Spotlight feature for that week. The BOTW winner for week 60 has just been announced as Athena_Heart for Crazy Sexy Cool. Changes were also made to Author Spotlight to reflect the changes in BOTW. At the beginning of each month, one book will be selected for the Author Spotlight feature from the BOTW list.
