Author Interview
1. What inspired you to want to become a writer?
My fifth grade teacher gave the class a project to finish by the end of the year: to write a book that would be placed in a class lending library. I had always been an avid reader and it had never occurred to me that I could write a story. I went home and my mom had to help me type my 120 page novel. I knew then that I wanted to be a writer.
2. Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
2. Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
My most rewarding experience was being nominated in 2012 for a RITA in the paranormal romance category. Having my fellow authors judge my novel, THE LOST, to be one of the best that year was an incredible honor.
3. If you could have a signed copy of any novel what would it be and why?
How about a play? I’d love to have a signed copy of Romeo and Juliet.
4. If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I think the power of speed since I could rush from place-to-place to help people and do more things in less time.
5. Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
ONE SUMMER NIGHT is funny, touching, tender and will inspire you not to give up on your dreams!
6. Any other books in the works? Goals for future projects?
I am currently working on #3 in the At the Shore series. #2 – WHAT HAPPENS IN SUMMER - will be out in late spring 2018 and #3 will be out in late summer 2018. I am hoping to write more stories set in Sea Kiss with some of the men and women you meet in #3. I also will be rel-releasing some of my earlier contemporary romances and working on new stories in The Calling is Reborn Vampire Novel Series.
7. Do you write as you go or do you have the book planned before you start the first draft?

7. Do you write as you go or do you have the book planned before you start the first draft?
I’m a plotser, a hybrid of a plotter and a pantser. I know the beginning, dark moment, and end, and work my way through all the other sections on the fly.
8. What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?
I’m a little behind on my movie going and can’t wait to see Wonder Woman. As for book, I am always eager for the next installment from J.D. Robb’s IN DEATH series.
9. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I am lucky to live just where I want to be – the Jersey Shore!
10. Can you see yourself in any of your characters?
I am like Maggie in my determination to achieve a goal and help others, but the character most like me is Connie Reyes, the heroine in the second book in the series. Like me, she is driven in her legal profession, but will have to find satisfaction along a different path than she imagined.
