Despondent in her denial against what truly lies within her,Tabby seldom considers being anyone else. However, her befriending of her neighbour, Aden, ignites a series of events that conduct fatal consequences, bearing a light upon her misted childhood and revealing the twisted truth about the family she never knew she had...

Interview

1. Please tell the readers a bit about yourself.

Well, I'm currently living in England and I'm in my fourth year of secondary school. I really enjoy reading, listening to music, skateboarding and writing! (duh).

2. What types of books do you write?

Usually sad one, happy is not my type ;0 But more genre wise, I tend to go for mystery/thriller with occasional bit of horror. I'm not incapable of happy books, they're just so boring to write!

3. How many books have you written?

In total, probably around seven, but only a select 3 ideas have made it to Wattpad. I'm pretty specific about the work I allow people to see!

4. What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

HUNGER GAMES CATCHING FIRE! That's right, I'm a hungergamer ;) I fell in love with the book a few months before I saw the first book and I've re-read them again in time for the new film.

5. What type of books do you enjoy reading?

Usually rather dark novels, something with a twist, yet nothing that's overdone or overrated. I really enjoy Michelle Paver's works.

6. If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?

1. Ice tea
2. YO!Sushi bar and...
3. Can I say five star hotel?

7. Are you considering a sequel?

I don't think my book 'The Morbid Materials' will have a direct sequel, mainly because I haven't finished it yet, it's hard to tell where it will go. I like the idea of writing a different book about the same characters under other names, sort of like a secret sequel?

8. What inspired you to become a writer?

Ever since I was younger, I've loved to read, my passion for writing really stemmed from that. I've always done well in English at school and I find writing is a great way to escape into a different world, usually one I prefer...

Interview

1. Please tell readers a bit about yourself.

Hi, my name is Rachel. I’m 18 and a freshman in college, back at bottom of the totem pole. Outside of writing, I love to play soccer at a competitive level. I’m also a huge New England Patriots fan, so my Sunday afternoons are spent in front of my TV, cheering on my team. I have an addiction to polar bears. And my favorite band is the Jonas Brothers, although they just broke up and now I’m not sure where to go from here.

2. What types of books do you write?

I write Teen Fiction, something people can relate to. I like to keep my books as realistic as possible.

3. How many books have you written?

I have 10 books posted on Wattpad, but that doesn’t include the books I’m writing on my own, that aren’t quite Wattpad-ready yet.

4. What book and/or movie are you looking forward to this year?

I’m a huge Hunger Games fan, so I’m definitely anxiously awaiting the release of the Catching Fire movie.

5. What type of books do you enjoy reading?

I enjoy reading Teen Fiction books, just like I enjoy writing. I like to read books that I can relate to, something that will pull on my heart strings and make me cry, as well as make me laugh.

6. If you were stranded on a deserted island what 3 things would you want with you?

1. Definitely my phone, I don’t think I could live without it.
2. I’d want my brother because he’s pretty much my best friend and he’d help make the situation more bearable.
3. And then I’d probably bring my polar bear pillow pet to make the island more comfortable.

7. Are you considering a sequel?

There is a sequel! I’m actually currently rewriting it, so people can follow along from the beginning. But the original sequel is still posted on Wattpad.

8. What inspired you to become a writer?

Lurlene McDaniel. I love her books and her style and just everything about her, and as I was reading one of her works, it just really impacted me and spoke to me, and I knew that writing was something I wanted to include into my life.

Except no one ever gets the money.

No one is ever seen again once they've volunteered for the trials.

Interview

1. Please tell the readers a bit about yourself.

My name is Danielle, but I prefer to be called Dani. I'm sixteen years old and I live in England. Usually I write novels, but I also write poetry and song lyrics for a few local bands. My main ambition is to be a veterinary surgeon, but I would also love to be a published author one day.

2. What types of books do you write?

Normally, I write paranormal and supernatural novels. I also like action, and would love to try romance one day. I don't want to limit myself and I hope to try every genre that I can.

3. How many books have you written?

Wings was my first full length novel, although I've written two others since. One of which is a action novel which is centred around teenage fiction, and the other is a fanfiction based around the Hunger Games.

4. What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

I'm really looking forward to the rest of The Hobbit movies, along with Catching Fire. Book-wise, I can't wait for the finale to the House of Night series, and City of Heavenly Fire from the Mortal Instruments series.

5. What type of books do you enjoy reading?

I like most genres. However, romance novels without being paranormal, supernatural, horror, or action really don't appeal to me. I like it when there's more to the plot than just a plain love story.

6. If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?

1. Is it possible to take wi-fi with me to the desert island? Probably not. Okay, then I'd probably take my boyfriend for company.
2. A blanket for warmth.
3. A knife for hunting and making some sort of shelter. That's practical enough for me.

7. Are you considering a sequel?

The sequel to Wings has been started, but currently I'm too busy with my A-Levels to write it properly. I want to take my time and develop my ideas before I just dive into it. I can confirm that it will be called Flames.

8. What inspired you to become a writer?

Writing has always been a passion to me. I was strongly encouraged to read as a child and I got into short stories very quickly. I suppose writing was just something I wanted to try. I was inspired by a few writers, such as Anthony Horowitz and Malorie Blackman, and I wanted to be able to write like them. As I grew up, I realised that if I truly wanted to write, I'd have to create my own style and find my voice. I know I'm still not there yet, so I'll keep going.

Excerpt

There had been a very tense discussion between the two before they’d entered the prison. Eric knew that there were rules against testing on children, but Ford insisted that these were his instructions. Torn, Eric had eventually decided to follow Ford into the prison and watch him administer the serum. After all, his job depended on his ability to follow instructions.

Ford had never been into the prison before. He usually remained in the laboratory, carefully constructing serums that could be injected into people without damaging any of the genetic material within it. Now he was in the prison, stood awkwardly outside a prison cell, staring in at a girl no older than sixteen, whilst clutching strand seventy of avian DNA. His heart was pounding violently against his chest, echoing against his ribs which were threatening to break at any moment. He was weak at the knees and really hoped he wouldn’t collapse.

“Come here,” Eric repeated, feeling sick to the stomach. “It’ll only take a moment.”

He ran a hand through his mousy brown hair as the girl stepped forwards, watching him with icy blue eyes, filled with curiosity. She was very thin, paler than he expected, with a pointed nose and high cheekbones. In different circumstances, he knew she would grow into a very pretty young lady.

“What are you going to use on me?” Sara asked. “What’s in the needle?”

Her question startled Eric. Usually, his subjects remained silent. However, he answered quickly in an accusing tone: “I’m not going to use anything today. He’s going to be administering the serum.”

Sara’s eyes shot to Ford, who shifted his weight from foot to foot. She could see he was anxious. He looked up in time to meet her eyes, still brimming with curiosity, and absent of the fear he’d expected to see. Despite everything, Sara was more confident than Ford – who was unable to find the words he needed to answer the girl’s questions. Luckily, Eric came to his rescue.

“The man here will be using a type of bird cell.” Eric said, seeing no reason to lie.

“Ah,” she replied distantly. “Avian DNA. If I start sprouting feathers, I will not be pleased.”

Ford and Eric exchanged a look. Neither of them had ever seen a subject so calm and collected before and it was quite unnerving. Ford fumbled with the syringe in his hand, filling the barrel with as much of the deep blue serum as he could. He raised it to eye level, ensuring that there was enough for the experiment to work. Beside him, Eric had set up the video camera and stepped aside.

“I don’t think I can do this,” Ford hissed at Eric, who just shrugged in response.

Sara rolled her eyes, “Just get it over with; I’m going to die anyway.”

A Beautiful Torment

When Isabel Devane first locks eyes with Wyatt Blackwell in the gymnasium on her first day of high school, the moment is as insignificant to her as accidental eye contact in the hallway...

... Until dark creatures stalk her through forests, dead girls take up residence in her room, and the only person who seems to know what's going on just might be the boy who started it all in the first place.

Interview

1. Please tell the readers a bit about yourself.

I’m a twenty-one year old Irish gal and I just graduated from university this summer, so I guess I have to start calling myself an adult now, hehe. I’ve been writing since I could hold a pen but I never considered making a career out of it until recently, so I studied Music Technology in university instead with the intention of becoming a music producer when I graduated.

2. What types of books do you write?

I write mostly paranormal fiction but I’ve also dabbled in ordinary teen fiction. I’ve noticed my writing is starting to take a suspense/thriller kind of direction, so I guess I write an eclectic mix of genres. Paranormal fiction is my home, though. I’m most comfortable making stuff up.

3. How many books have you written?

I wrote a lot when I was younger but I think on a serious note, I’ve only ever written one novel that I consider ‘finished’.

4. What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

I’m a huge Richelle Mead fan so I’m probably looking forward to Vampire Academy coming out in theatres. (Although that’s technically next year, hehe). Book wise, it’s a toss up between The Fiery Heart (by Richelle Mead) and The Casquette Girls by Alys Arden.

5. What type of books do you enjoy reading?

YA paranormal and fantasy mostly. When I’m feeling under the weather, I read a lot of YA romance and adult romances, but I also enjoy the occasional classic.

6. If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you want with you?

1. A boat.
2. A lifetime’s supply of chicken.
3. Jamie Redknapp hehe.

7. Are you considering a sequel?

Yes, but that’ll come when I’m finished editing the first book. As it stands, I tied it up in such a way that a sequel isn’t really something on the cards.

8. What inspired you to become a writer?

I don’t think I was ever inspired to become a writer, I just WAS a writer. It’s all I’ve ever done. If I’m bored, I just grab the nearest notepad and start jotting down ideas or quotes or paragraphs. Whenever I was upset or stressed or happy, I just wanted to write and capture that feeling.

Interview

1. Please tell the readers a bit about yourself.

My name is Ashley, I'm sixteen, and I love pasta.  I hate telling people that I know about my writing because some part of me is terrified that they'll hate my ideas.  So when they ask me I just say, "No comment."  Haha, oh, and I love pandas!  They're so cute and cuddly and just . . . adorable.

2. What types of books do you write?

I write all kinds, really!  When I first started writing actual books instead of five paged stories, they were action, morbid kind of stuff (in sixth grade I had a strange imagination I guess?).  Now I write romance, humor, sci-fi, fantasy, you name it.  Just not historical fiction.  I tried to write one once and failed so bad.  So I changed it into a futuristic story instead.

3. How many books have you written?

I've completed three, and I've started writing over twenty.  I have over fifty plot ideas in general.

4. What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

Well, City of Bones already came out in theaters, and I pretty much concentrated all of my excitement on that.  Three years I waited for that movie to come out!  It was totally worth it.  Anyway, I guess I'm excited for Catching Fire.  I'm more excited for City of Heavenly Fire coming out next year, though!

5. What type of books do you enjoy reading?

On Wattpad I like reading romance and humor, but with published books I like reading fantasy, sci-fi, and dystopia.

6. If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?

1. Marry Poppins' bag (it has a boat in it and a sailor)
2. A friend
3. And my iPod (that can't die). It's very plausible, really.

7. Are you considering a sequel?

No, I'm not, but there is  a spin-off from Sean's point of view!  It's called Hey, Handsome and it's posted on my other profile.

8. What inspired you to become a writer?

The excitement of creating worlds with different characters.  It's just always been something that I loved doing!

Unmasked

Trashing someone's house is as easy as counting numbers off your fingers - at least for Aria and Jay.

After a fateful night that irrevocably changed Aria's life; she finds herself in trouble with a celebrity, befriending her long-lost childhood friend who mysteriously disappeared five years ago, getting into arguments with an arrogant CEO, encountering a masked villain, and pulling more pranks than ever before.

Interview

1. Please tell the readers a bit about yourself.

I'm 17 and I'm from Malaysia. I have an unhealthy obsession with shoes, books and potato chips (preferably barbecue). I love baking, writing, listening to music, my family and making people smile. I have 5 dysfunctional siblings whom I love to death and two equally wacky parents which I wouldn't change for the world.

I'm currently taking a shoe course (Yes, my obsession has gone to an extent where I have to learn how to make shoes) while waiting to enter university where I will be taking alternative medicine. :-)

2. What types of books do you write?

Humor/Romance/Teen Fiction.

3. How many books have you written?

Two.

4. What movie and/or book are you looking forward to this year?

The Hobbit 2, of course. (An avid LOTR fan over here!)

5. What type of books do you enjoy reading?

Crime, Psychological thriller, Romance, Mystery, Classics and Humor.

6. If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?

1. An axe
2. A 'How to survive on a deserted island 101 for dummies' manual.
3. Ropes

7. Are you considering a sequel?

For Unmasked yes, but it will be focusing more on other characters.

8. What inspired you to become a writer?

When I was still in high school, my teacher always told me I had potential, I just needed to improve my style of writing. So when I was sixteen, I decided to try it out. The feedback I received from my friends were lovely, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So I've been writing ever since.

Excerpt

There was silence as Aria twiddled with her thumbs. Nate spoke up. “Do you know why you’re here, Miss Cruz?”

She was quiet for a while. “I can’t believe I trashed your house.” She said quietly, her face downcast.

Nate was satisfied with her answer. Surely she knew what she got herself into.

She looked up suddenly and spoke animatedly. “Do you have the tape? Do you know what this means? If I put the video up I’ll be rich! It’ll be an instant-”

“Silence!” he snapped in annoyance. “This will not be spoken about outside of this room. Utter a single word Miss Cruz and you’ll be in debt for life.” He threatened with a menacing look on his otherwise handsome face.

To his astonishment, the girl chuckled. Chuckled! Like he had said something funny.

“Oh! Now I know why you’re an actor too,” she gasped out, once her laughter subsided. “You’re good.” She grinned.

He held his head between his hands and groaned. He looked up at her, “Don’t you know the severity of this situation?” he asked with desperation lacing his tone.

“Quit the dramatics buddy, this is hardly ‘severe’,” she muttered indifferently.

He scoffed. “You trespassed a private property. And not only that, you trashed the place. You’re lucky I’m not suing you for this, buddy.”

Aria rolled her eyes. “What do you want me to do? Not say anything about this? Done. No one would even believe me. And besides, what's up with your security? I expected your house to be secured by security alarms”

"It was disabled since that night; it should be fixed in no time." He muttered. Nate sat up straighter in his chair and nodded his head. “And because of your outrageous act, you’ll have to come here after school every day to clean it up, with your partner in crime of course.”

Aria remembered the rules Jay’s parents gave her. “What partner?” She asked looking everywhere but him and letting out a nervous chuckle.

Nate gave her a pointed look. “The blond in the mask.”

When she didn't reply, Nate attempted to threaten her. “If you don’t tell me her name, I’ll have my guys find out in your school until they find her.”

She looked up in alarm, “Look, I’ll do everything you tell me to, just don’t drag her in this. It was my idea anyway.”

Nate raised his eyebrows and sighed resolutely. “Alright. And after you’re done, whatever job is thrown your way you’ll take it, no questions asked.”

She clenched her jaw. “Fair enough.”
