About Me

Welcome to CBY Book Club

My name is Al Stone, and I'm a writer from the UK. There are only a few things I can say I'm absolutely passionate about, and reading is high on the list. I read all genres except erotica. I'm also not too big on romance novels.

As much as I love reading books, however, my first love is movies. Seriously, I'm obsessed with films. I'm also addicted to TV shows. Just sit me down in front of a TV with a book and a large bowl of tangerines and you won't hear from me for some time.

I never thought I would have the time to manage a blog, but it turns out I'm good at multi-tasking - and I have a little help from a few otherwordly friends, whom I can't name for legal reasons. I was inspired to create a blog after stumbling upon a site called Wattpad. I saw many good books on the site that were going unnoticed and had the urge to shed some light on those books. Very quickly, my blog started to gain attention, so I started showcasing books by published authors, and the site has continued to flourish since then.

CBY (Chosen By You) officially launched on May 12, 2013. While the blog features mostly YA fiction, I welcome all genres. I love to chat with authors, bloggers and book lovers, so please feel free to contact CBY with any questions or concerns at cbybookclub at gmail dot com.

Thanks for listening.

He's afraid to tell anyone. No one would believe him ... because it was a dream. Just like the one he had four years ago - the day before his dad died.

Charlie doesn't know why this is happening. He would give anything to have an ordinary life. The problem: he doesn't belong in the world he knows as home.

Ground Zero
(Arcadia, Book 3)

Book Description:

Only a few ever survive.

This time ...

No one will.

That is unless Charlie Blake can locate all four diamonds to restore the Talisman of El and receive his calling from the remaining three elements before the Annus Magnus strikes. With both Arcadia and the mortal world in a state of unrest, his life quickly spirals out of control as it seems everyone has put a bounty on his head. Maybe even his closest allies.

Not knowing who to trust, Charlie starts to dig up the past. When new revelations arise, he begins to question whether the Legion of Light really is what it claims to be and whether he's been fighting for the wrong side all along. The line between good and evil is no longer as clear-cut as it used to be, especially when it appears Charlie's destiny could very well be to destroy everything he loves.

Hero or villain? Charlie isn't so sure anymore.
